There's something to be said for heeding the call of the wild.

When the gong of the soul is rung and the sound so loud it cannot be unheard, to silence it with suffocating ignorance leads one down the road most-travelled; a road ending in the ultimate betrayal of the self: the road of regret.
Instead, to be discovered when we undertake a pilgrimage in search of the truth is the truth of who we are, what we believe in & what we want our life to mean. We all want our life to mean something to someone, so we spend the entirety of it trying to live up to that expectation.
However, what I found out on the road in the land of fire and ice, is that when we take the 'trying' out of the equation and simply 'live', we become more of who we are then we ever have before... our significance & insignificance become apparent as two sides of the same coin.
The true beauty of taking a trip into the mountains is coming home to realise that they have always existed within us every moment we've been alive.
