Inspired by Australian military herringbone twill fatigues, 1940s.
Herringbone twill was the fabric of choice for military fatigue uniforms through the 1940s, worn by servicemen who needed a fabric that could handle constant movement and hard wear in the field. Its distinctive woven pattern gave it extra strength along the diagonal weave, making it tougher than a standard twill without adding bulk.
The Burbank Herringbone Short brings that same fabric into an easy, everyday silhouette. An elasticated waistband with an internal drawstring replaces the old fatigue's utilitarian fit with modern comfort, while clean slant pockets keep the front uncluttered. Finished in Off White, it sits at a relaxed, just-above-the-knee length that works equally well dressed up or down.
Crafted from 100% organic cotton herringbone twill, the fabric is breathable and durable, with enough structure to hold its shape through repeated wear.
