Mr. Simple's Hargrave takes inspiration from the original fishtail anorak, originally created for the US Army in the 1940s. Its arrival into mainstream fashion started with a subculture, The Mod's that began in London in the 50's and 60's. Known for their love of fashion, music and scooters; usually a Lambretta or Vespa.
All great design aims to solve a problem. The features of the fish-tail anorak, as visually appealing as they are also serve a purpose.
