Houndstooth has one of the more resilient careers in textile history — from Scottish country wear to 1960s fashion houses, it keeps turning up because the geometry is simply right. At this scale, the pattern reads almost as texture from a distance and reveals itself on closer inspection: a black and white weave that manages to be sharp without being loud.
The Brooklyn in houndstooth is the same pleated silhouette — volume through the thigh, taper to the ankle, a fit that can go dressed up or worn back with a tee — but the pattern gives it a different personality to the glen plaid. More graphic, more deliberate. The wool-poly blend brings just enough structure to hold the pleat cleanly without the weight of a full wool suiting.
