Before air conditioning became standard in Australian offices and public buildings, tailored shorts were a practical adaptation to the heat. From city clerks to country professionals, a well-cut short replaced the full-length trouser through the warmer months without sacrificing the structure of a proper pair of trousers.
The Brooklyn Short reinterprets that tradition in a double-pleat silhouette. Wide through the thigh, clean through the leg, with two back welt pockets and a button fly. The black colourway moves it away from the heritage reference and into everyday use.
