5 Summer Cocktails

It's peak Summer which means the Mr Simple staff have been living it up with a lot of beach time followed by an afternoon of BBQs & cocktails by the pool. We thought we would share a few of the Summer Cocktails that we have been indulging in, see the list below for a couple of easy cocktail recipes.

Painkiller

Ingredients

• 90ml dark or gold rum
• 75ml pineapple juice
• 30ml orange juice
• 30ml coconut cream

Directions

Negroni

Ingredients

• 30ml London dry gin
• 30ml Campari
• 30ml vermouth rosso

Directions

Mary Pickford

Ingredients

• 35ml Bacardi Carta Blanco
• 15ml Maraschino Liqueur
• 25ml Pineapple Juice
• 1 Slice of Pineapple

Directions

Mai Tai

Ingredients

• 60ml dark rum
• 30ml lime juice
• 15ml orange curaçao
• 15ml orgeat syrup
• 5ml rock candy syrup

Directions

Mint & Raspberry Julip

Ingredients

• Caster Sugar
• 8 Fresh Mint Leaves, plus a few extra to serve
• 1 small handful of raspberries
• Ice cubes
• 50ml Bourbon

Directions

1. Make a simple sugar syrup by heating one part sugar to two parts water in a pan over a medium-low heat. Heat until the sugar dissolves, then place 1 teaspoon of the mixture into a tumbler.
 
2. Add the mint and raspberries, and muddle. Set aside to macerate for 10 minutes
 
3. Remove the mint and strain the drink into a clean glass
