After the success of our summer collaboration with Steve McQueen, we are back with a classic winter collection.
Arguably the biggest style icon of the '60s and '70s, McQueen was either an actor who liked to race or a racer who liked to act. Depends what day you asked him.
Starring in iconic films The Great Escape and Bullitt, which features one of the greatest car chases of all time, McQueen was one of Hollywood's rarest characters, whose life offscreen was more incredible than any script.
The Rolling Stones wrote a song about him. He raced the fastest cars and motorbikes all over the planet. The world's highest paid actor at one point, he's likely to be the only man ever to be nominated for an Academy Award and inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame.
"We had such a great response to the summer collaboration," says Dave Fraser, director of Mr Simple. "We started thinking about winter almost immediately, because there were even more pieces to play around with in this latest limited-edition collection."
Built around staples that McQueen made iconic, there is the cord blazer, cable knit jumpers, cord pleated pants, classic fleece (complete with McQueen's racing number on the back) and a timeless western shirt for layering.
Of course, it makes sense. When things get cold, turn to The King of Cool for the perfect wardrobe.
